

Norman Weinstein

BIO
Norman Weinstein, native New Yorker and former musician, has spent the last 30 years communicating his love of good food and basic techniques through his teaching. He has been a chef-instructor at The Institute of Culinary Education in New York City since 1995, teaching his highly acclaimed Knife Skills classes and three specialty classes in Chinese cooking. Norm also conducts tours of Chinatown and hosts several specialty dinners in Chinese restaurants. He is the author of two books on Chinese cooking techniques and the highly acclaimed Mastering Knife Skills published by Stewart, Tabori and Chang in the Spring of ’08. Norman’s passion for teaching has been featured in NYC and national newspapers as well as several national food magazines including Wine Spectator and Newsday. He has made several appearances on the Food Network as well as radio and TV programs.
